The moderator explains how to signal that participants want to communicate and reminds participants to refrain from talking or relaying messages when someone else is communicating.

Assign “runners” with microphones to identify a speaker by raising their hand. When called upon by moderator, the runner holds the mobile mic for a speaker, beside a device speaker, or reads aloud a message generated by an AAC user on a display.
