Council Regional Groups Initiative
The Council Regional Groups Initiative enables Council members to be better connected with each other and ISAAC International. The goal is to create more opportunities for sharing and collaborating, and to thereby further the field of AAC, on behalf of all its stakeholders.
Dividing our Council members into groups according to region should make it logistically easier to plan virtual meetings at convenient times for everyone. These meetings will give everyone a chance to share challenges and progress in AAC where they live, and to share ideas about how ISAAC International can provide support.
The coordinators for each region (see chart below) will organize a meeting with the Presidents and second representative (as applicable) for each Council Chapter / country / region in their regional group. Following those meetings the coordinators for each region will meet with the ISAAC Chair and Chair-Elect to report what was discussed and plan a response. The meetings will be before April 1st and November 1st. This is in addition to the council meeting at conference year. The leads of each region will meet with ISAAC Chair and Chair-elect before April 15th (July 15th 2022) and November 15th.
Note to Coordinators: The names and email addresses of the President and second representative (as applicable) for each Council Chapter / country / region are contained in the ISAAC Membership Directory, located in the Members Only section of ISAAC website.
You’ll also find links to Google Drive folders dedicated to each group, to facilitate discussion and the sharing of materials.
