A minute of video is worth how many words?

This year’s ISAAC Conference is number 18 in our organization’s 35-year history. Many cities around the world have hosted this biennial conference: From the first, held in Cambridge (US), to Stockholm, Dublin, Montreal, Barcelona, Toronto, and many more. (click here to see a full list of ISAAC host cities.)

We have been spreading the word about what’s in the works for the next conference in Gold Coast this coming July. But we’d also like you to meet a few individuals who have told us why they are excited about ISAAC 2018 in Australia:

“I know I’m a better professional as a result of my participation at ISAAC over the years, and this makes me want to attend every chance I get.” Lori Geist, Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA

“My first ISAAC Conference was in Brazil 2004 and it was amazing … I got to be part of a global meeting of AAC users and this has been a huge impact on my personal and professional journey as an AAC user.” Mel Smith, Mooroorlbark, Victoria, Australia

“It’s not just research, not just getting to see the tech, it’s not just teachers – it brings everyone together. It’s one of my favourite conferences.” Shannon Hennig, Wellington, New Zealand

Other videos are available in addition to the above three, with more to be released in the days to come. Find them on Facebook ISAAC Conference 2018.

Also, this short film will give you a flavour of our most recent conference, ISAAC 2016, held in Toronto.

From July 21-26, 2018, over six days on the spectacular Gold Coast, Australia, ISAAC Conference 2018 will offer the opportunity to learn, explore, collaborate, and engage with leading communication experts and an international community of people who use AAC. For more information, click here.
