Carole Zangari and Chris Bugaj will present an ISAAC 2016 Pre-conference Workshop in Toronto on August 6th, titled AAC Practitioners in the 21st Century: Leveraging Our Efforts through Social Media and Digital Technologies.” Carole Zangari is the founder of PrAACtical AAC, a popular blog that supports the AAC community of professionals and families. She co-edited Practically Speaking: Language, Literacy, and Academic Development for Students with AAC Needs (published by Brookes) and is a professor of SLP at Nova Southeastern University (NSU). Christopher Bugaj hosts the A.T.TIPSCAST podcast, featuring tools and strategies that can be used to differentiate learning. He is a founding member of the Loudoun County (Virginia) Public Schools’ Assistive Technology Team and co-author of The Practical (and Fun) Guide to Assistive Technology in Public Schools: Building or Improving Your District’s AT Team, published by the International Society on Technology in Education (ISTE).

Both are speech-language pathologists with a world of experience to share.

Chris, with the help of his family, has produced a fun video introduction to the workshop. Warning: Beware of small children (with big minds) who steal the show…

Don’t miss this opportunity to explore what digital and social media tools can offer these days, way beyond email! More information here.
